Would you like to learn more about native plants AND make new friends while you are learning? The Preservation Committee of the Community Council will kick off the 2017 season with its Volunteer Orientation on March 20, at 10 A.M., in the auditorium of the Georgia Mountain Research & Education Center. The orientation will be a great time to meet like-minded folks, learn more about the native plants of this area and maybe even enjoy a snack. The Orientation will provide an introduction to the Preservation Committee and its projects. In addition, Melissa Mattee, Union County UGA Extension ANR Agent will give a short talk on insects.
