Vogel State Park Civilian Conservation Corps History Day and Open House

Take a step back in time and rediscover the history of the Civilian Conservation Corps, a New Deal program of the administration of President Franklin Roosevelt.
Docent Ray Taylor will guide you thru the museum (funded and built by the Vogel State Park Volunteers) and explain how life during the "Great Depression" was made a little easier by supplying jobs for unemployed young men and to relieve families who had difficulty finding jobs during that time.
Light snacks and soft beverages provided by the Vogel Volunteers.
