LADIES LUNCHEON: “MORE THAN JUST A FRIED PIE!” Ladies, it’s summertime in Georgia and really hot outside! So, we are inviting you and your friends to come inside where it’s cool and enjoy a delightful luncheon with great food, a fabulous program and door prizes on Wednesday, August 1. The venue for this event is at North Georgia Technical College, Building A, Highway 515, Blairsville and our buffet lunch will be catered by Amazing Grace Events & Catering. We’ll start our program by welcoming our Feature Guest Rita Suiter, Marketing & Training Coordinator for Mercier Orchards in Blue Ridge. Mercier Orchards is a family owned and operated apple orchard started in 1943 by Bill & Adele Mercier. Now in its 4th generation, Mercier Orchards is celebrating its 75th year in 2018! Rita will share the legacy of the Mercier farm including a new location in downtown Blue Ridge and other exciting changes ahead. Rita was born and raised in Clarksville, Tennessee and relocated to Blue Ridge in 2015 from Valdosta. She served as a consultant for Mercier’s before assuming her current position in 2016. Rita handles marketing, training staff in multiple departments and represents the Farm in various trade organizations, festivals and events. She has a real passion for customer service and hospitality and her goal is to be a positive difference-maker to everyone she meets. Rita attended Disney’s School on Quality Service and Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. She is a Certified Customer Service Specialist and a Certified Nursing Assistant. Rita loves baking, traveling and shopping! Next on our program agenda, is Kim Michael Polote from Pooler, Georgia. Kim is a professional singer, recording artist, actress and speaker. Kim has a powerhouse voice and will delight us with a couple of songs. Then, she will share her story, Persistence…..Being A ‘Kept Woman’. Kim has three grown children and two grandchildren. She enjoys tennis, cooking, reading and spending time with her family. Reservations are required for this event and the deadline to reserve is Wednesday, July 25.
