Ladies Fashion Show, Dinner & Door Prizes! It’s Ladies Night Out – please join us for dinner, a summer fashion show and an upbeat and funny speaker, on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 6-8 pm. Doors open at 5:15, at the Pat Haralson Memorial Civic Center, 165 Wellborn Street, Blairsville. This event is organized and hosted by TriCounty Women’s Connection. The evening begins with a scrumptious dinner of your choice of pulled pork or baked chicken, choice of two sides: potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans, tea and water. But wait, there’s also carrot cake to finish our meal! Then, we’ll settle back and enjoy a summer fashion show featuring ladies in the latest fashions from Alexander’s -- a local landmark and international tourist attraction with an incredible 50,000 square feet of retail space. What began in 1953 as a small general store has now evolved into a muti-department shopping adventure for the whole family, with “more or less everything under the sun”. As a family-owned business, Alexander’s maintains a set of shared traditions and values deeply rooted in the history of the store. Hoyt and Ruby instilled these traditions in Eddy and Sandy, who passed them on to their son, Mark, and his wife, Kennetha, the third-generation to own the store. Soon after that, Mark passed the legacy baton on to Sam and Brittany Combs, Blairsville locals who grew up visiting Alexander’s and wanted to see its traditions continue. Located at 4482 Town Creek School Road, Blairsville and open Monday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Visit Alexander’s on their website and Facebook. Linda Moore from Gainesville, Florida will share her humor, big smile and ask us this question: “ When The Going Gets Rough, Is Shopping Enough?” Linda is a Speaker and Leadership trainer. She was born in the Hills of Tennessee and raised under that “Moon over Miami “. She graduated with Honors from the University of Florida, not in her field of expertise, but in “husband catching”. She is married to her college sweetheart, who is a civil engineer. They have two children who are finally out of college, gainfully employed, married and have given them three beautiful grandchildren. Reservations and pre-payment are due by June 10. The cost is $25 which includes the program and dinner. For reservations, e-mail Jocelyn at jowabow@aol.com OR text or call Jane at 706-633-7868. Mail your check (payable to TCWC) to Judy Teague, 3245 Mulkey Gap Road, Blairsville, GA 30512. If you are paying for other guests, please include their names. For more than 40 years, the Blairsville Tri-County Women’s Connection in affiliation with Stonecroft has planned and hosted events for women that provide a positive, upbeat time of fun, food and friendship. We look forward to connecting with you!
