During the last two weeks of the life of Edgar Allen Poe, he mysteriously disappeared from all public life only to be found in a city alley, heart-broken and mourning the loss of his love, Annabel Lee, unaware of his location, delirious and exhausted. This fictional account of those two weeks takes Poe on a journey through his most famous writings, including “The Tell-Tale Heart,” “The Cask of Amontillado,” “The Black Cat,” “Fall of the House of Usher” and more. As the events crescendo, Poe discovers his stories have gained control over his life and is powerless to escape his own creations. Presented by the Overlook Theatre Company. Approximately one hour in length. **Due to the nature of Poe’s storytelling, some scenes may be too intense or frightening for younger children.
