Intro to Natural Cold Process Soap-Making at Kula Wellness

Learn about the history of soap, what soap is, the ingredients we use, and how to make lovely, natural soap at home. Emphasis will be on using plant based oils for the body of the soap, herbs and spices for color and texture, and essential oils for aromatherapy. Each student will take home about 5 bars of their own customized soap, a simple recipe, supplier information, and the skills to make soap again on their own. Students should wear long pants, long sleeves, and closed-toed shoes. They should also bring safety goggles and an apron if they have those. Students should note that soap takes 4-6 weeks to cure.
