Award-Winning Author and Naturalist Mark Warren Will Presents Edible Wild Plants of Southern Appalachia. This will be a lecture and photo presentation to learn about the nutritious wild plants of our region, including native species and those introduced (from other countries) that are now naturalized as part of our environment. Techniques for preparing foods will also be discussed. Mark Warren is owner/operator of the nationally renowned Medicine Bow Wilderness School in Dahlonega, GA. He has been teaching about native plants, trees, and survival skills to adults and children for over half a century. Warren is the author of 18 traditionally published books. His Secrets of the Forest book series will be available for purchase at this event as well as his other award-winning titles.
