Clinical Medical Assistant
Clinical Medical Assistant is an approved course for (WIOA) Workforce Innovations and Opportunity Act. WIOA is a federal grant program which covers training expenses for individuals laid off from employment or whose household income is at or below federal poverty level.
This program includes 140 of classroom lecture and hands on labs and a 160- hour clinical externship opportunity at a local healthcare service provider for those students who qualify. To be eligible for the 160- hour clinical rotation, students must successfully complete the 140-hour program, submit to a thorough background check, drug screening and meet other requirements. NOTE: upon completion of the 140 hours of classroom instructions, students would be eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) national examinations.
