An Evening with the STARs - STAR Students Banquet
The STAR (Student Teacher Achievement Recognition) banquet recognizes Union County High School and Woody Gap's outstanding seniors and the teachers who have been instrumental in their academic development. The STAR Student will be recognized and awarded scholarships from money raised by the Chamber Shoot for the Stars Golf Tournament and also from other local businesses. Other special awards will be presented by the Union County Board of Education.
The banquet is open to all educators, family members of the students and teachers being honored, business leaders, community members, and anyone else who wishes to celebrate those being awarded and/or receiving scholarships.
The purpose of the STAR program is to recognize academic achievement and to motivate students to be good scholars and high achievers. Also to honor excellence in teaching, to promote teaching as a career and to encourage outstanding teachers to remain in the classroom, and to demonstrate the business community's commitment to excellence in education and to increase interaction between students and the business community.

We would be delighted to send you an invoice; however, please be aware that your reservation cannot be guaranteed until payment is received. Kindly take note that refunds will not be granted for non-attendance, as certain events necessitate pre-ordering catering services.
